Brad Pitt's "Killing Them Softly" was killing me softly...

So this week’s movie was “Killing Them Softly” starring Brad Pitt and a few other famous actors. Apparently, it was based on a book called “Cogan’s Trade”.

To be honest, the movie was really confusing to me. It seemed like it was going to be one hell of a new mob movie including one of my favourite actors, Brad Pitt. Unfortunately, this movie was really upsetting. Usually, Pitt doesn’t do any bad movies but this one was just a big failure. Not only in my eyes was if a failed movie, but even Cinemascore gave this moving an overall rating of an “F”.

I was totally confused, the trailer made this movie one of the anticipated movies of the month to see but it was just too boring and super slow and had no real plot of character development. It had nothing, whatsoever.

The movie started off with a long conversation between 2 of the characters. And when I say long, I mean loooooonnnngggggg. There is no clarification whatsoever as to who the main character is or who it should be. This basically seemed like a movie just to show off Brad Pitt as a leading hitman and that he could play a good mobster, but guess what? We already know Brad Pitt is a good actor so what gives.

Anyways, this movie is based on 2-3 guys who rob an underground poker game room who is run by Ray Liotta’s character. His character had already robbed his own game room so these current robbers do it for the money, also knowing that the fall would land on Ray Liotta’s character regardless. But people find out the truth and it’s basically an art of hit mans.

This movie also kept referencing politics and the American election from 2008 which made it even slower. It was too slow, not enough comedy, not enough action, too much talking nonsense, and not enough sense. This movie sucks. Definitely not worth your bucks. I give this movie a 6.5/10, just because I like Brad Pitt.
